Receptionist

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is searching for a Part-Time Receptionist. This vital position welcomes our guests and helps create incredible first impressions.
Essential Functions :
- Greet persons entering facility, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Telephone conversations, email, writing letters and memos, and face-to-face discussions with individuals and / or team.
- Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
- Perform Administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.;
- Provide information to resident / families as necessary, or refer to appropriate department or agency.
- Type and prepare confidential reports / spreadsheets.
Qualifications :
- Education : Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience : Computer experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Physical Demands :
- Must be able to life, push, pull and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.
Evenings, weekends and holiday rotation is a must; Flexibility during the week for additional hours is a must.
Salary $18 an hour
