Job Responsibilities :

Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand requirements

Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

Cut, shape, smooth, fabricate, and / or install lumber and other material (e.g. metal panels, fiberglass) according to measurements

Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

Lay out floorings, roofing, ensuring they are leveled and compatible

Build scaffolding and other construction structures when necessary

Roofing and siding installing

Job Qualifications :

4-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience

Great hand dexterity and an eye for detail

Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)

Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings

Must follow safety guidelines at all times

Good knowledge of English

Good understanding of basic math

Good physical condition and endurance

High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required

Successfully pass a drug test and background screening

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $16.65 - $31.22 per hour

Schedule : Monday to Friday

The job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials while working with little supervision and following all essential health and safety standards.
