Field Service Technician

Medical Device Manufacturer seeks a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time, position with our Service Department.
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to support and service ethylene oxide sterilizers and related medical and production equipment.
This is an entry level position with room to grow. The Service Technician reports to the Field Service Manager and works with other members of the Service team as well as other departments as directed.
Duties of this position include shop testing, routine preventative maintenance, repair and testing of medical sterilization devices and related equipment at customer facilities nationwide.

Job Responsibilities :
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installation verifications on sterilizers in the field.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the sterilizers over phone / email and in-person.
- Design and develop solutions to common errors / issues.
- Create documentation, guides and instructions for customers as well as Andersen personnel.
- Support and maintain equipment used on-site to manufacture medical devices.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Calibration of operating characteristics and acceptance testing, including the numbering and maintenance records of each unit.
Job Qualifications :
- Technical degree, military and / or experience in a related field (Experience and certifications will be taken into consideration)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience preferred (1-2yr)
- Ability to travel by plane / car in the US and Canada on a week out and week back schedule
- Ability to communicate with customers in professional manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Mechanical, Electrical, and pneumatic experience required
- Ability to work irregular hours or overtime as required in the performance of the responsibilities of this position
- Have a valid or able to get a US passport
- Have valid driver’s license with clean driving history required
Salary Type : Hourly + Commission
Employee Status : Regular
Schedule : Full Time
Shift : Monday - Friday 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm (Hours may vary with Travel)
