Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital Heart Institute is looking for a pediatric electrophysiologist to lead its multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology and preferred eight plus years of experience.

In addition, candidate is to be IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination) certified as well as hold certification as either a CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) or CEPS-P (Certified EP Specialist-Pediatrics).

CEPS-P is preferred. The successful candidate will be a dynamic pediatric electrophysiologist proficient in device implantation and catheter ablation who can bring new dimensions to our existing programs.

The current faculty includes : three surgeons, four interventional cardiologists, three heart failure / transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, two adult congenital cardiologists, and one inpatient cardiologist.

Current volumes include 90- EPS / ablation procedures and 25 device implants in the cath lab per year. The workload is anticipated to increase in the next few years with the establishment of an accredited adult congenital heart program.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience.

Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital is a bed free-standing childrens hospital in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida located near Fort Lauderdale.

The hospital recently underwent a 4-story vertical expansion to double the number of floors and continue to meet its commitment to providing the highest quality and safest care for children in the region.

Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital (JDCH) has robust high-risk and congenital programs including a US News and World Report ranked pediatric Cardiology and Heart Surgery Program, one of only two active programs in the state that does heart transplants.

JDCHs Orthopedic and Sports Medicine program is also ranked by US News and World Report as the top pediatric orthopedic program in Florida four years in a row and is one of the largest programs in the southeastern United States.

JDCH also has robust Neurosciences, Hematology / Oncology and other general and specialized surgical programs (approximately 10, surgeries per year), and the areas largest pediatric and neonatal transport team, which also does mobile ECMO.

JDCH also houses the Center for Complex Care, which is a joint alliance with Boston Childrens Hospital.

JDCH serves over , children per year from around the state. Approximately , children are cared for in our three emergency rooms across the county per year.
