Era Living is seeking a part time Librarian to become the newest member of our Life Enrichment team located in our University House Wallingford Community, Seattle, WA.
This position is 8 hours per week (10 : 00anm - 02 : 00pm).

Primary Responsibilities :
The Librarian maintains a safe and organized library, oversees the addition of books to, and retirement of books from, the library and meets with residents on a regular basis to discuss the library’s needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Purchases new books monthly as required; weeds outdated or unused materials regularly
Catalogs collection
Promotes the library and its services to residents and family members
Reviews any donated materials to assess the need and / or, suitability for the library
Provides technology help to residents
Leads Library Committee meetings
Writes content and maintains the UHS Library Blog
Writes articles for the UHS Highlights newsletter
Serves as liaison between Resident Library Committee and Life Enrichment department
Partners with the Life Enrichment Director (LED) to recruit and train UHS / UW partnership MLIS student librarian
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to learn established systems and apply that knowledge
- Ability to use MS Office Suite
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to pass DSHS and State background check required
Education and Experience :
- High-school diploma or GED, required
- One-year college coursework in library science or equivalent education and experience.
- Must be enrolled or have previously been enrolled in the MLIS student program at the University of Washington.
