Financial Analyst (Commercial Controller)

Position Information

Datalogic is looking for a Financial Analyst (Americas Commercial Controller) for our Americas Commercial (sales) organization and to be a part of our global Financial Planning & Control Team.

This role will be located in the Dallas, TX area and is initially designated as a hybrid office / home office.

Role Mission

Reporting directly to the Americas Regional Controlling Manager, the role will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the Americas Sales organization by managing its budget, monitoring its expenditures, and ensuring that it remains profitable while being a key member in contributing to the continuous improvement of business reporting through standardization and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Be involved in Budgeting, Forecasting and Mid-Long Term Financial Planning based on trends and market conditions.
• Monitor, analyze and produce insights and explanations of data concerning Pricing, Revenues, Cost of sales, Margins, Sales and Distribution costs and the entire Managerial P&L.
• Track business performance using existing commercial KPIs and be proactive in building new ones based on market needs.
• Build commercial and Business Intelligence data to support Salesforce decisions.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting, such as :

1) Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

2) Budget and Forecast reviews

3) Weekly and monthly Sales costs reports

4) Weekly revenues, booking and backlog reports

5) Support the manager in preparing the Regional BoD package

• Analyze the regional financial performance by examining and using reports generated by the accounting system or DWH.
• Collaborate regularly with the commercial teams to provide updates and insights.
• Cooperate with the accounting team to ensure that monthly closing activities are finalized on time and well executed.
• Be directly involved in the preparation of quarterly commercial estimations, posting and SAP checks.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Education (School / Specialization)

University / Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics)

Language

• English fluency
• Italian (nice to have)

Experience

At least 3 to 5 years of proven budgeting, forecasting and financial planning expertise in complex multinational environments.

OTHER INFORMATION & SPECIFIC SKILLS

• In-depth knowledge of P&L Management
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and other MS Office Tools
• Experience with Power BI and SAP (preferred)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities, and presentation skills

• Accounting and strong analytical skills
