We're looking for a seasoned, strategic account leader to help lead client transformation and make a significant impact across three of the key areas where we focus on creating difference - brand, marketing and customer experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a VP, Account Management, you will be at the forefront of our differentiation strategy, responsible for developing deep, trusting relationships with our clients and driving brand, marketing and customer experience strategies and initiatives that deliver difference and distinction in the marketplace.

You will lead several key client accounts, ensuring that your strategic leadership not only retains and grows our client base, but also inspires our teams to produce brilliant work and client experiences.

You'll play a critical role in developing account management talent through hands-on leadership and coaching so they contribute and grow in meaningful ways.

This role reports directly to the CEO and contributes significantly as part of our senior leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively lead key client relationships, building clients’ trust and establishing and maintaining our position as their primary go-to partner for strategic guidance and recommendations on brand and marketing
  • Lead clients and our integrated teams in developing strategic marketing plans and scopes of work for both annual AOR relationships and project-based engagements
  • Leverage your expertise in brand, marketing and customer experience, as well as insights on market trends, consumer behavior and competitive landscapes to identify, develop and implement brand and marketing differentiation strategies with key clients
  • Partner with VP, Business Consulting, to set and achieve annual revenue targets and client satisfaction scores by delivering solutions that drive relative excess differentiation and market growth for each client
  • Partner with peers and agency executives as part of senior leadership team to collaborate on agency opportunities, management decisions, issues, processes, resourcing, etc.

  • Inspire and collaboratively lead cross-functional teams to develop the best solutions and execute them flawlessly from briefing through reporting
  • Proactively coach and mentor account management team members, using their individual goal-setting dashboards to ensure personalized development and growth, thereby shaping them into exceptional account management talents.
  • Actively engage in relevant new business pitches that you will lead once we win, collaborating on the pitch approach and content, and presenting to clients as part of the pitch team for that opportunity..
  • Offer expert insights, guidance and thought leadership in brand and marketing differentiation, inspiring our internal team, current clients, prospective clients and future recruits through our perspectives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in roles like agency account management, brand-side marketing or marketing-centric management consulting
  • Demonstrated experience guiding clients of diverse scales and leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement successful strategies across brand development, advertising, marketing and customer experience
  • Skilled in leading clients and internal teams through the strategic planning processes for annual marketing and communications
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and on-your-feet thinking
  • Strong creative mindset who embraces innovation and thinking outside the box (We don’t believe the answer to every problem is just another ad.)
  • Proven track record of inspiring team leadership and coaching that motivates people to want to do their best work and partner with you on every project
