Job Summary

Loan Closers have two major objectives to achieve : 1.) consistent, superior service at the point in the transaction that may often be the most stressful for the customer and which is the final impression of the company left with them;

and 2.) to ensure that closings are accurate, complete and result in an immediately saleable loan. Our Mortgage Loan Closer must be willing and able to work in a faced paced environment, stay organized and must have strong attention to detail.

Essential Duties

• Proactively monitor your pipeline in Encompass, ensuring that the closing SLAs are met.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients, including LO, LOA, processor and title company personnel by responding promptly and effectively to all forms of communication (both via phone and email).
• Verify all data for accuracy, this includes borrower and sellers names, verifying property information, lock information, and escrow information.
• Review and compare last disclosed Loan Estimate (LE) to Closing Disclosure (CD) to determine if valid change of circumstance has occurred and if change of circumstance document is to be provided
• Prepare & provide the initial CD to the customer
• Prepare and provide redisclosures and final CD’s to the customer
• Closers are responsible to ensure the KMS final CD matches the title company CD (including payee names, addresses, contact information etc.)
• Communicate with Loan Officer regarding CD, delivery and signature requirements, final CD notification etc
• Prepare accurate closing documents for loan files in accordance with investor guidelines and loan type
• Verify all underwriting conditions are met.
• Monitor all hybrid closings and confirm documents have been e-signed for closing
• Request wires from accounting for all closings.
• Ensure error free documentation prior to releasing funding authorization.
• Assist with post closing deficiencies.

Requirements

• Familiarity with industry quality control standards and fraud detection method
• Experience with POS approval processes and knowledge of LP, DO / DU and other AUS
• Proficient computer skills including Google Workspace
• Encompass experience preferred
• Excellent people skills, patience, customer service and ability to work in high paced environment
• Likes multi-tasking
• Superior attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of technology including office equipment (printers, scanners, etc)
• Minimum 1 years loan closing experience including conforming conventional, FHA, VA and IHDA Loans
