About The Position
- Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - NICU Job Specialty : RRT-NICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 - 19 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years minimum experience required License : Must have a compact license or state license Certifications : BLS, CRT, NRP, RRT Must-Have : Must have one prior travel assignment, must be able to work holidays, must have the Flu vaccine (no exemptions) Job Description : - Work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as an RRT - Ability to float between adult and neonatal patient populations - Perform various airway management and suctioning procedures - Competent in using medical equipment like Endotracheal tubes, BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Comfortable with drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases (ABGs) - Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform umbilical blood gases analysis - Proficient in using Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo U - Experience with charting in Cerner - Skills preferred include experience in Bronchoscopy and using inhaled medications such as Flolan and Nitric Oxide - Work setting skills required include Adult Critical Care and NICU;
- Emergency Department experience preferred - Required to work every other weekend - Orientation includes 28 hours with some non-billable modules Additional Information : - Scrubs in Ceil Blue are required - Short Term Acute Care Facility - Teaching Hospital;
Member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals - Total staffed beds : 338 - The facility requires that all employees have the Flu vaccine - The COVID-19 vaccine is not required
