Optim Therapy is looking for a motivated, positive, Physical Therapist who is interested in treating a variety of post-operative and non-operative diagnoses at our Bluffton, South Carolina therapy location.
This location is our primary headquarters and has many amenities.
The Optim Therapy team provides coverage for six free standing outpatient therapy locations and one surgical center (ASC).
Across all therapy sites, we have 30+ PTs / PTAs and 10 OTs. Our therapy team collaborates closely with Optim physicians and outside referring physicians to develop appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
Optim Therapy supports professional growth and education which includes monthly in-services, mentorship, specialty tracks, and a generous CEU program.
Our model allows for constant communication between our therapy team, our physicians, and our patients contributing to the best quality of care.
This position would be responsible for evaluation and treatment of an outpatient, orthopedic caseload. This location enjoys a very energetic environment with PTs, PTAs, OTs and support staff.
Enjoy a close working relationship with specialty orthopedists, fellowship trained and board certified therapists, and support staff.
Job Requirements :
- Responsible for supervising, monitoring and directing physical therapy assistants (PTAs). Assesses patients and develops treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
- Responsible for initiating and follow through on regular communication with Optim staff and management.
- Assists patients to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Helps patients to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning ability and to compensate for any permanent loss of function to reach the goal of having independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
- Helps patients in performing a variety of daily activities including occupational and leisure tasks.
- Utilizes all standard physical therapy and modalities available to achieve the best outcomes for the patient. Teaches patients comprehensive home exercise programs to the patients to enhance clinical treatments.
- Follows Optim therapy practice policies related to compliance, safety, and infection control.
- Documents patient treatment and outcomes in medical record.
- Performs necessary tasks as needed and assigned to ensure clinic and department compliance and satisfactory patient care.
Requirements :
- Must hold current State of SC Physical Therapist license and successfully graduated from an accredited school for Physical Therapists.
- Current CPR certificate.
