Job Title : 80391 - Program Protection Platform EngineerJob Location : Sterling Heights MI 48310 Onsite Requirements : Engineering DegreeActive Secret Security ClearanceCyber Security ExperienceJob Description : About the Role : The function of this position is to support the Cyber, Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Autonomy group with development and application of system security engineering and program protection for major defense acquisition programs across the US market.

This is an engineering position to broadly execute guidance from platform Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and functional management.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role : Support the development and application of system security engineering, and program protection for major defense acquisition programsWork with major defense acquisition programs to develop Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIP), and advise customers throughout the larger PPIP development processSupport program protection activities by working with program office Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to assess program security risks, and develop risk mitigation strategiesWork with a team of subject matter experts in software and hardware assurance, cybersecurity and supply chain risk management to address security risks for advanced capabilities and systemsAnalyze critical program information, critical mission functions and critical components to ensure protection for state-of-the-art technologiesExercise authority and responsibility for C5ISR products and tasks to help integrate cross-functional technical scope within schedule and other constraints.

Help project team to ensure a balanced, integrated, and compliant and C5ISR design across the vehicle system.Manage / support the identification, development and implementation of platform cyber-physical design best practices, tools and education across the entire engineering enterprise.

This will be done with a cross functional team of engineering and program disciplines and form the basis for developing a cyber security culture within the engineering organization.

Manage and coordinate requirements, architectures and system designs and any changes, conditions, inputs and final resolution for requirements, trades, and alternatives.

Participate in and lead design and integration troubleshooting / Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem report / test incident resolution for production, development, test, or modification projects.

Develop and evaluate checkpoint and design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and review to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.

Coordinate with platform Design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) where interface is required, such as in threat analysis, interface development and requirements decomposition and compliance.

Manage and participate in peer reviews.Other duties as assigned.Minium Qualifications / What you must haveBachelor of Science in Engineering, related science or equivalent, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering desired (Relevant cyber technical certificates will be considered)Minimum of 4+ years' experienceExperience with engineering and / or military projectsExperience with teams in technical development projectsExperience with military vehicle development and integrationExperience in interpreting higher level customer requirements and flowing them down to technology areasExperience in developing and managing system level requirementsFamiliarity with various electrical line replaceable units and the development and troubleshooting of electronic hardwareExperience with cyber warfare, offensive and / or defensiveExperience with Program Protection Planning, and / or developing PPIPs and participating in Program Protection Working GroupsExperience with embedded systems, automotive and military relatedExperience with software and computer science principlesFamiliarity with cyber physical system security requirementsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)Ability to travel (mostly domestic, some international) up to 15% 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position.
