Shift : 2nd shift 3-11 : 30pm

Note : 3-4 weeks training to start on 1st shift, which is 8am-4 : 30pm or 9am-5pm

Job Description :

  • Client is seeking a skilled Industrial maintenance technician to oversee the installation and maintenance of our industrial equipment.
  • As an industrial maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
  • To ensure success as an industrial maintenance technician, you should have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills.
  • Ultimately, a top-class industrial maintenance technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance
  • You will be responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen.

You will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

Tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include :

  • Install new equipment and understand technical manuals, read blueprints and how to purchase replacement parts necessary to make equipment repairs.
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
  • Disassemble / reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair / replace worn or defective parts.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control. Troubleshoot, install and repair ac / dc motors, starters, relays and drives.
  • Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all standard electrical components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues.
  • Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
  • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per planned schedules. Clean and lubricate machinery. Inspect equipment operating conditions.

Identify root causes of equipment problems.

  • Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
  • Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Required Qualifications :

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Read and follow English language instructions
  • Able to work safely in structured manufacturing environments
  • Ideal candidate will be either a graduate of an industrial apprenticeship program or 2-year technical school with at least 3 years industrial experience or have a minimum of 5 yrs.
  • Experience as a maintenance electrician / mechanic in an industrial manufacturing facility.
