Position Title : Controls Technician
Pay : $25 - $40+ / hour experience depending

Summary
The candidate for this position will be responsible for controller installation, testing, and documentation of all control points.
The technician would also be responsible for ensuring that hardware and software meets the sequence of operations and systems function properly.
Job Functions
- Program, commission, and develop graphics for Distech systems, with a focus on Niagara integration.
- Consider entry-level candidates with relevant experience in DDC systems; on-the-job and factory training will be provided.
- Perform point-to-point installations, system checkouts, and calibrations.
- Conduct functional testing and verification to ensure all system functions operate as specified.
- Document and track punch list items and deficiencies related to design, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Demonstrate system operations to customers, design teams, and third-party commissioning agents.
- Perform quality control inspections on installations and programming.
- Foster positive interactions with customers to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with DDC control systems, or 1 year of DDC experience combined with 5 years of commercial / industrial HVAC mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment sequences of operations, including terminal boxes, fan coil units, VAVs, constant volume RTUs, and AHUs.
- Understanding of control devices (inputs / outputs) and calibration techniques.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and electrical conduit installation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC system components and design principles.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
- Valid SC driver's license and ability to pass a background check for facility access.
