This position will be responsible for supervising all shipping functions for the Louisville location.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :

  • Responsible for managing capacity planning in shipping departments to ensure there are enough qualified employees available to ensure timely and accurate processing of outgoing customer shipments.
  • Responsible for managing shipping team daily and ensuring cross-training efforts as directed are met.
  • Ensures customer expectations with relation to on-time deliveries are met or exceeded.
  • Works with Supply Chain Manager to develop accurate metrics for the shipping department.
  • Performs employee coaching, counseling, disciplining, and measuring performance.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting as directed by Supply Chain Manager for internal and external use.
  • Professional communication in verbal and written form is expected at all times.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information is required.
  • Leads using established company policies and procedures fairly and consistently, engages HR when appropriate.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll entry.
  • Required to participate as directed on production improvement teams, safety, and other activities as assigned.
  • Responsible for S maintenance improvements and audits.
  • Additional responsibilities may be directed by TopWorx to include other area back-up and rotation.
  • Accountable to meet cycle count performance metrics in order to maintain certification and physical inventory exemption.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED :

  • High School Diploma
  • Manufacturing and / or Shipping Experience
  • years supervisory experience
  • Proficient use of ERP System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT
  • Must be self-directed, meet deadlines as assigned, be able to team with various groups successfully
  • Must be accountable to goals and metrics
  • Positive attitude, respectful, encouraging, works well with all TopWorx employee
  • Communicates clearly, often, thoroughly, and honestly, listens well, responds quickly
  • Must lead professionally and represent shipping department in operations meetings
  • Must be able to adhere and follow our company values as follows

Associates Degree Desired (BA / BA Preferred)
