The Automotive Parts Manager helps lead a team of parts professionals to deliver exceptional value and satisfaction to our customers on a continuous basis.

Helps plan, train, lead, and monitor the performance of parts advisors, shipping & receiving, and support staff to promote 100% customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives.

This management position is responsible for the parts operation, which includes both the employee experience as well as the experience for our clients.

Responsible for running a successful operation, which includes the development of talent and the overall production (ex : purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, merchandising, and advertising) and profitability of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the parts department, retail, and wholesale customers
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for Warranty and Customer Pay jobs
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints courteously and professionally
  • Accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures and inventory control
  • Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty, policy, and return procedures
  • Establish and maintain purchasing policies including purchase orders, inventory guide figures, order codes
  • Knowledge and compliance with the federal, state, and local regulations that affect operation
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence and track all expenses
  • Hire, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
  • Establish and maintain programs designed to train, and develop department employees
  • Monitor attendance and payroll records of parts department employees
  • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees
  • Demonstrate behaviors within Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
  • Implement & carry out safety requirements
  • Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Parts Manager at an automobile dealership and / or wholesale parts department
  • Minimum five years of experience in an automotive parts department
  • Two years of sales experience preferred
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Successful track record with dealership service experience
  • Stellar work ethic, outgoing and personable team member
  • Proven leadership ability to mentor and train team members
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills
  • Exemplary communication and customer service skills
  • Driven personality, eager to improve and able to work within and support internal teams
  • Pass background screening, pre-placement drug screening and must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report

COMPENSATION :

The Parts Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of $5,500.

00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

This position pays salary plus monthly bonus.

Annual Pay Range : $66,600 - $125,000 (annual average $120,000-$125,000).
