The Sr. Benefits Administrator is responsible for administration of employee benefits in all company operations in the US.

As needed, provides special guidance and assistance to all US and International locations on various employee benefit plans.

Develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises administration of existing plans.

Develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee. Oversees the company's robust Wellness program.

Responsibilities :

  • Administers employee benefits programs including but not limited to 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, LSA, disability, life insurance plans, and accidental death policies.
  • Installs approved new plans and changes overseeing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees.

Conducts employee meetings and arranges for enrollment of employees in optional plans. Revises and reissues all communications material on benefits from time to time.

Advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits.

Administers employee leave programs including State and Federal requirements along with company specific leave programs.

Ensures company compliance with provisions of ERISA, and Federal, State, and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management of needed actions.

Coordinates company benefits, with government sponsored programs.

  • Responsible for overseeing annual open enrollment.
  • Attends meetings with insurance brokers and makes suggestions and recommendations on benefits plan design.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, process invoices for payment.
  • Participates in the annual re-evaluation of benefits for cost management.
  • Ensures company compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Stays up to date with benefit trends, wellness initiatives, etc.
  • Oversees the company's Wellness Program.
  • Evaluates and compares existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information.

Plans, develops, and / or participates in area and industry

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or related degree.
  • CBP, CEBS or related certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with knowledge of benefits plan general structure along with

employee leave administration. Knowledge of Federal and State governing regulations including FMLA,

ADA, PPACA, ERISA, IRS 125 Cafeteria Plans, HIPAA, and experience administering benefits plan.

  • Experience working with self-funded insurance plans, stop loss insurance, and medium to large groups.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to manage conflict and negotiate solutions.
  • Ability to communicate well with employees at every level in both written and oral formats.
  • Basic understanding of HRIS systems, Payroll, and other computer applications.
  • Must be able to read, analyze and interpret complex benefits information, policies, procedures, and legal

documents.
