Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Audit Accountant in Akron, OH. This position will involve contributing to audit, review, and compilation engagements, and the successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities :
Active participation in audit projects, from planning to issuance.Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and accompanying notes.
Thoroughly reviewing workpapers before submitting them to the direct supervisor.Developing audit programs, time budgets, and planning documentation.
Mentoring and providing on-the-job training for staff members.Collaborating on special projects as required.Providing timely feedback for performance evaluations of staff accountants.
Participating in select administrative committees and functions.Proactively seeking additional projects.Demonstrating a wholehearted commitment to our firm's Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications and Skills :
Prior experience with a Big 4 or Regional CPA firm is highly desirable.A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
An impressive academic and professional track record.A bachelor's degree in Accounting and eligibility to sit for the CPA Exam (CPA Licensure is highly desirable but not mandatory).
Proficiency in goal management through collaboration and teamwork.Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating formulas (V-lookups a plus).Strong mathematical and computational abilities.
Proficiency in applying effective problem-solving techniques.A highly positive attitude, exceptional client service skills, and a strong desire for continuous learning and personal growth.
