Position Overview :
The primary role of the Registered Nurse Supervisor is to supervise staff, monitor patients, implement treatments, develop patient care plans for long term needs, administer medications, follow up with families and provide the highest quality of care to all patients while staying in compliance with current federal, state, guidelines, and company’s regulations. Qualifications :
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Strong communication, excellent customer service, teamwork and organizational skills.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
