A top manufacturer has retained Palmer Group as they search for their next Director of Sales as the result of a retirement.

This role will be responsible for the continued growth of a top construction-related product through ongoing leadership, relationship management, and the ability to penetrate top accounts with new products.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for directing, leading, and managing all aspects of sales functions to achieve financial goals.

This includes direct responsibility for developing and implementing sales strategies for the division and continuously monitoring and analyzing the sales activity against goals.

  • What you will do :

    • Create a vision and execute division sales plans to maximize profitable growth
    • Deliver sales results while identifying areas for improvement
    • Develop relationships of trust and confidence with existing and potential customers
    • Demonstrate high technical proficiency as a manager through effective forecasting
    • Train, develop, motivate, and coach highly effective division and regional sales managers
    • Work with the division president and department managers to develop business plans for the company
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge

    What you will need to be successful :

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility
    • Knowledge of windows and doors, millwork, and building material channels
