  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience working on recommendation systems or other machine learning systems.

Preferred qualifications :

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX / UI, marketing, ad sales, legal, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Experience defining product policy.
  • Experience in a platform product role.
  • Experience working on personalized advertising.

YouTube Growth Platform is an important lever to drive YouTube’s subscription business. Our goal is to connect users with relevant YouTube paid experiences like Premium, YouTube TV, Sunday Ticket, Channel Membership, and Primetime Channels.

The team is responsible for leveraging YouTube’s personalization algorithms to match users with the right paid experience at the right time to drive overall YouTube growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Define policies for personalized promotions across all YouTube surfaces. Draft principles for what use cases can be promoted on our platform.
  • Work closely with tech teams from all of YouTube’s paid products, including TV, Channel Memberships, and more to understand their needs and build platform recommendation capabilities to support their growth goals.
  • Drive strategy for how YouTube should promote key cultural moments in partnership with the YouTube Discovery team.
  • Execute a roadmap for personalized content promotions on YouTube surfaces.
