Position Summary

Under general supervision of Department Chair, a person in this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses.

In addition to preparing for and holding classes face-to-face, hybrid , teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours.

In addition, workload may involve advising students and / or providing other service to the department. Other duties may be assigned by the Department Chair or Dean.

Successful candidates will have the ability to teach introductory financial management, and depending on qualifications or experience, upper level courses such as risk and insurance, estate planning, retirement planning, corporate finance, markets and institutions, investments, financial modeling, cases and problems in finance, and cases in financial planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher in a business-related field
  • Experience in the finance industry or scholarly activity in the field of finance
