Summary : This job will be to ensure legal and company standards are upheld, if not surpassed. Constantly run inspections and collect data.

Candidate will remove the unsatisfactory products and analyze them, in hopes of finding areas of possible improvement, while simultaneously keeping the rate of production the same.

Responsible for maintaining calibrated testing equipment. Required to train other technicians joining the company. Must be able to continually learn and understand new tech to match the adaptation of production.

Essential Functions :

  • Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
  • Support Safety & Quality Initiatives by participating in Safety and Quality Audits where needed.
  • Actively participate in Plant Daily Management by creating visual documentation for (SQDP)
  • Develop training document to each of the processes.
  • Inspecting quality equipment and machinery to ensure they're operating efficiently.
  • Lead Inspection of raw materials such as : plastics or metals, to ensure they meet the specifications for the shape, size, and quality of the finish.
  • Capable of developing and documenting new business processes and / or optimizing existing processes as required.
  • Partner with operations management, to identify opportunities, utilize continuous improvement tools to obtain measurable and sustainable results.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure the production process runs smoothly.
  • Participating in development projects and research to enhance the manufacturing process for new products.
  • Testing finished products and raw materials for compliance with industry specifications and standards.
  • Creating documents to educate the manufacturing team on the parameters to be checked at each stage of production.
  • Performing audits and writing recommendations and reports on the results.
  • Ensuring the company complies with federal and provincial regulations and legislation.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace and sometimes ambiguous environment with competing priorities.
  • Must be an independent self-starter and complete multiple tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

  • 5+ years’ experience in a quality role
  • CWI Welding Inspection Certification
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in quality technology or a related discipline preferred.
  • LSS Yellow or Green belt certification
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Be able to lift to 50 lbs. Anything over 50 lbs. requires a team lift effort.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. The work location may be 60°ree;F to above 100°ree;F ambient in areas of production.
