Principal Duties

As a Journey Maintenance Specialist you will provide facility / building maintenance services to state facilities using knowledge and skills in the following :

• plumbing
• electrical
• welding
• painting
• construction
• hand tools
• power tools

The Best Qualified Candidate

The best qualified candidate for this position will have :

3 or more years of experience performing maintenance on commercial facility buildings.

Additional Preferences

Additional points will be awarded to candidates with experience in :

• Electrical systems.
• Heating and cooling systems.
• Culinary and waste water piping systems.
• Reading schematic drawings.
• Working with computer controls.

Supplemental Information

• Working Conditions : The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 100 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.
• Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined areas, bend and crouch and work with hazardous chemicals.

Must be able to see and hear.

• Must be available for On Call.
• DHRM rules apply for promotions / transfers.
