We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Engineer specializing in Packaging for a permanent role in our dynamic Engineering team.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our packaging equipment and automated systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to our clients, ensuring maximum uptime and system performance.

Responsibilities :

1. Carry out preventive maintenance on packaging equipment and automated systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues.

2. Troubleshoot and repair faults on packaging machinery and automated equipment at client sites, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum productivity.

3. Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring they understand the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

4. Work closely with our engineering team to provide feedback and insights into equipment performance, potential improvements, and innovative solutions.

5. Maintain accurate and detailed service reports, documenting all maintenance and repair activities.

6. Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends in packaging equipment and automation.

7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

8. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications :

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, specifically with packaging equipment and automated systems.

2. A degree in Engineering, or a related technical field, is preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and best practices.

4. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.

5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients.

6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisions under pressure.

7. A commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

8. Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

9. Proficiency in using computer software and applications for reporting and documentation.

10. A valid driver's license.
