LENDING QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST

The candidate for this position will be responsible for :
- Performing quality control reviews of consumer and real estate mortgage loans for compliance with investor guidelines, state regulations, and federal regulations to ensure accuracy of information and verify presence of all required loan documents
- Identifying all red flags within a loan file and ensuring they are addressed accordingly
- Escalating any evidence of fraud and / or misrepresentation to management
- Preparing reports that represent work completed and responding to audit requests
- Performing loan data reviews for accuracy and completeness
- Identifying trends, ensuring follow-up on findings, and monitoring remediation
- Maintaining strict standards of confidentiality and performing duties in a manner that supports Fidelity’s core values
- Fostering teamwork across all areas of the Bank
- Assisting as needed with other assignments within the compliance department
Requirements for the position include :
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree (waived in lieu of experience in lending or compliance fields)
- 1 year of experience in a lending-related position
- Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of loan products
- The ability to work late and / or flexible hours when necessary
Preferred qualifications for this position include :
- Specialized coursework or experience in residential lending or servicing
- Specialized coursework or experience in commercial lending
- Experience with analytical research and accounting skills
