Overview

Bazooka Candy Brands is seeking a seasoned Supply Planning Manager. This role requires expertise and broad experience in Supply chain including but not limited to production planning, demand planning and logistics management.

The candidate will manage a team of planners and needs to be flexible, adjusting to the needs of the business while helping drive process improvement.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an agile and energetic candidate with a proven ability to demonstrate progress in in an ambiguous yet dynamic environment, and who is looking to learn and grow with a group of cross-functional senior leaders.

This role interacts daily with business leaders in Marketing, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Quality, Transportation and key external partners to support key business objectives

Procurement expertise. You should have both strategic and tactical experience in planning, purchasing, forecasting and inventory, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.

Import experience preferred. Managing contracts and co-manufacturing relationships is a benefit.

  • Know the tools of the trade. Strong expertise with Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Continuous improvement fanatic. You must understand all standard KPIs and excel in terms of driving improvement within your team.

You must lead a Productivity Culture within your team, creating and fostering innovative cost savings ideas to continually drive a more competitive and agile Supply Chain.

Talented communicator. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will regularly communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the organization.

Additionally, you will work to maintain and improve our strategic supplier relationships both domestically and internationally.

Self-starter. We specialize in edible entertainment and you will be a member of a results driven team in a can do culture and a key contributor in meeting our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Ensuring operational execution. You will be responsible for the buying, planning, and forecasting for all of our Bazooka Candy Brands products and the raw materials required to produce our self-manufactured items.

Your mission is Right Product, Right Place, Right Time, Right Cost

Interfacing with external partners. You will be the face and voice of Topps to raw materials, finished goods, and service providers both domestic and international.

You will be responsible for getting us the best service and pricing and managing the day to day relationships with our supplier partners.

Cross functional collaboration. You will need to work closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance and New Product Sourcing to ensure flawless and timely execution of product, promotional, and seasonal launches.

Your successful performance is paramount to our new product process.

  • Measuring and reporting operational performance. You will own the measurement and improvement of our purchasing and forecasting Key Performance Indicators and will lead your team to ensure highest performance at optimal cost.
  • You will be responsible for communicating current inventory situations, expected recoveries and other pertinent finished good availability information as it relates to inventory levels and delivery execution.

Qualifications

WHAT ARE THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of purchasing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required or related degree preferred
  • Must be detail oriented, self motivated and comfortable taking initiative in a dynamic environment, as well as capable of producing high quality results on a sustainable basis
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively influence both internal and external customers / relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent customer service / support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Role is based at the Topps Offices in Scranton, Pennsylvania
  • Some travel required
