Position Objective :
The marketing assistant's primary objective is to support the administrative needs of the Fiction Marketing Director and the Fiction Marketing department, ensuring the staff and the authors / agents they serve are well cared for efficiently and consistently, and, ultimately, that the department and Bake Publishing Group achieve the financial goals for each book.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responsible for organization, communication, and data entry of advertising plans
- Communicate with external vendors and internal stakeholders on behalf of marketing staff
- Manage and complete warehouse shipping orders and mailings
- Process vendor contracts and invoices
- Maintain database and project management tools with correct and up-to-date data
- Coordinate and organize delivery of materials for marketing processes
- Create and edit Adobe files
- Build and maintain spreadsheets for team and personal organization and tracking
- Schedule and provide support in advance of and during meetings
- Additional support tasks as needed
Qualifications :
- Prior office / administrative experience preferred
- Proven organizational abilities, follow-through, and meticulous attention to detail
- Proactive self-starter able to meet their own deadlines and ensure the team's deadlines are met
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to quickly and proficiently adopt technology and systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, and database project management
- Strong professional written and verbal communication
Compensation and Benefits :
