Job Title : Mechanical Design Engineer

Location : Athens, GA, USA (Onsite)

Job Type : Full-time / Permanent

Job Requirements

A Mechanical Design Engineer with 9-12 years of experience is responsible for managing the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components.

The role requires an individual who has extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and can apply this knowledge to real-world design problems.

The engineer will lead cross-functional teams and be involved in all aspects of the design process from concept development to product launch.

This role is focused on cost reduction design changes of current production parts.

Work Experience

• Manage the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze current designs for cost reduction opportunities and drive changes through ECN process.
• Use CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping activities.
• Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.
• Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products.
• Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
• Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
• Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.
