Inventory Analyst

- Job Summary : * The inventory analyst candidate is responsible to manage inventory items, controlling day to day inventory transactions as well as taking the initiative to recommend and implement solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position is also responsible of supporting the financing and customer service departments.
Role and Responsibilities :
Manage and maintaining the physical inventory process for all finished goods, raw materials, and packaging items including modifying and communicating the process, ensuring compliance, investigation of deviations, implementing corrective actions to improve the process and integrity of our inventory
Review and enter receipts into the Great Plains system
Reconcile production data and physical inventory (finished goods, raw materials and packaging)
Partner with third party IT vendor to troubleshoot equipment issues (Great Plains, scan guns, printers, etc.) escalating issues as required
Review and process volume summary to USDA
Process inventory reports that list counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data
Responsible to prepare labels for pallets as needed
Responsible to set up, close work orders and delete empty bins
Coordinating with applicable departments and production workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue
Attend to production meetings to keep department abreast of relevant happenings
Support financing team preparing weekly key performance indicator (KPI) and labor time tracker reports as well as labor, raw material, and dump reports with helpful insight to managers
Map processes and develop process improvements to provide more timely, accurate & relevant information with enhanced visibility such that managers can take corrective action more quickly
Several inventory related projects will require spending time in the manufacturing plant
All other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Effort :
Work is performed largely in a plant environment and some in office. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours equaling 40 hours per week.
There will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other matters. Likely to experience frequent interruptions to workflow.

Qualifications and Experience :
Associates degree in business-related concentration is strongly preferred
Minimum of 2 + years of relevant experience
Knowledge of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is a plus
Experience with Great Plains (GP) is a plus
Good interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
Sophisticated Excel user and good aptitude for system reports
High accuracy and attention to detail
A team-player with the flexibility to multi-task and change priorities quickly
Self-starter and the ability to work efficiently and independently
