Summary
The Analytic Systems Specialist and Trainer provides support in the effective use of BrainCube, BrainCube Edge, Augury, Maximo, POKA, and other analytical software systems to plants in all business units across the GAF network.
Responsibilities of this role include training plant personnel in the effective use of the various features of the software including training on any new features added that may or may not have been included in the original implementation.
You will also share case studies, tips and techniques developed at the sites across the network.
This position will also require basic troubleshooting and issue management either directly with the software vendor or using other resources.
This role reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing Data Systems.
This is a remote role that requires up to 50% travel.
Essential Duties :
- Support of analytical software (BrainCube, others) at all GAF locations. This includes maintenance of the BrainCube Operations Manual and any SOPs / SEPs that support the implementation and use of various analytical software tools as well as training as needed for the plant personnel.
- Train plant personnel in the effective use of software features
- Continuously review plants’ systems for continued optimization over time, including demonstration of advanced features to identify and resolve process issues.
Included are regularly scheduled meetings with the plants to share updates, review any applicable metrics, and review system status.
- Work with vendors and plants to troubleshoot all system issues. Apply all areas of technical expertise to obtain a workable solution.
- Recommend project upgrades or enhancements to the plants and Analytic Systems Manager.
- Track the help tickets for all relevant project issues and notify stakeholders of changes.
Physical Demands
- Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Periodically lift and / or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Under this Roof, We Require :
- Technical or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Experience in training, coaching and development, along with data analysis and statistical experience in an industrial environment
- Up to 50% travel
Under this Roof, We also Value :
- Certifications in Node Red, SQL and / or javascript would be helpful, not required
- Experience in BrainCube, BrainCube Edge, Augury, Maximo, POKA
