The Floral Designer is primarily responsible for creating innovative floral decor and leading floral installation and / or tear down crews to ensure that events are completed on time, in budget and meeting company standards.
THE STARTING PAY : $23.00 / hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY :
Provide specialized design and floral expertise to plan, design and create floral arrangements for events
Create floral recipes, cost sheets, order products, monitor delivery, prep containers, props, and carts for refrigeration and delivery
Assign projects and lead crews on-site; maximize talents and adhere to company and safety policies and procedures
Anticipate and solve on-site creative problems and timeline issues in conjunction with management to meet deadlines
Monitor vase inventory counts for breakage or loss and expedite reorder and new inventory orders as needed
Communicate project status and timelines with internal departments, clients and vendors to maintain satisfaction
Stay current in design trends, floral techniques and vendor products and share with / train teams to inspire creativity
Complete all required paperwork, maintain well-organized digital files
Create a SHOW Service work environment promoting creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition, mutual respect
Actively promote MGM Resorts Event Productions within the company and the events industry
WHAT YOU WILL NEED :
At least two (2) years of prior experience in the events industry, hospitality setting, or a related field.
High School Diploma or GED.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT :
A degree in floral design, art or a related industry.
Experience working in floral design in a floral facility or events industry.
Experience working in a leadership role.
