Responsibilities : General Ledger Maintenance : Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a regular basis. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reviewing transactions, posting journal entries, and resolving discrepancies.
Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the analysis of financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes. Accounts Payable and Receivable : Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts as necessary. Budgeting and Forecasting : Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering relevant financial data, analyzing trends, and preparing budget variance analyses.
Assist in developing financial models and projections to support strategic planning initiatives. Financial Analysis : Conduct financial analysis and performance reporting to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and assess variances against budgeted expectations.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for management as requested. Compliance and Auditing : Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Assist in the coordination of external audits and provide support during audit engagements by preparing audit schedules and responding to inquiries.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function.
Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize productivity and accuracy. Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments, including operations, human resources, and procurement, to gather financial information, resolve issues, and support organizational goals.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred but not required.
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment or public accounting firm.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
