Our company is seeking a Vice President / General Manager to plan, direct and implement activities of the division organization to meet the business objectives and long-range goals set by the company’s SVP / GM through development of a strategic plan.
Major responsibilities for production of products for an expansive national marketplace that best parallel the company’s printing capabilities.
Essential Job Functions include :
- Directs activities of the Wolf Directors / supervisors; works with the leadership team to meet strategic goals; and evaluates the performance of each manager for compliance with the Company’s plans and goals and their contributions in attaining set objectives.
- Reviews production reports, sales reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining goals / objectives and participates in revising strategic plan and objectives in accordance with current market conditions and business environmental scan.
- Directs and coordinates formulation of financial programs to provide funding for new or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments, and to increase efficiencies.
- Directs work flow between outside sales staff and estimating with internal staff for cost analysis; product development;
order entry; and communicates changes within the company’s manufacturing capabilities and policies.
- Monitors sales statistics including invoice reviews along with profit and margins; approval of price offerings, discounts, changes to conditions of sale, contract negotiations and non-disclosure agreements, and assist settling invoice disputes.
- Supports and understands the needs of different business products produced by the facility and interfaces directly with the leadership of each business.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with other plants on manufacturing processes and capabilities to capitalize on best practices and ongoing customer needs.
- Facilitate resolution for customer production concerns or problems between sales staff and plant production staff on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
Education / Experience Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, management, sales / marketing or advertising with 15 years of printing industry experience Required.
- Strong understanding of technical specification writing and contract language.
- Must have strong understanding of printing industry specifications and formats.
- Must be able to evaluate printing formats and translate change specifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of pressroom and other production capabilities.
- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must be able to manage stressful situations and confrontational issues.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong understanding of contractual issues.
