We are looking for a Cisco Wireless Network Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis / Full time.. You will ideally be based in Europe, Poland, USA and have predictive site survey experience using Ekahau.
You will be responsible for delivering wireless solutions across the entire project lifecycle, including design, planning, optimization, implementation, and support.
You will also have vendor professional certifications and the ability to cross train to other vendor solutions such as Aruba / Juniper.
A good foundation in routing and switching is essential.
As a Cisco Wireless Network Engineer, you must have Ekahau predictive site survey experience :
- Perform Ekahau predictive wireless site surveys for wireless designs, onsite optimization, and troubleshooting1.
- Use Ekahau to carry out active, passive and on-site surveys when required
- Complete complex wireless designs and large projects for various verticals using Cisco and other vendor technologies
- Use the Ekahau spectrum analyzer to detect 802.11 and non-802.11 wireless interferences
- Convert wireless designs into fully working solutions.
- Troubleshoot wireless issues and support customers when necessary.
- Adhere to the company’s wireless standards and guidance.
- Have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals of Wired and Wireless LAN, and operation.
- Have experience and / or knowledge of wireless solutions including Access Points, Controllers, management software including Cisco Meraki, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco DNA Centre
To be successful in this role, you will need :
- Excellent communication skills and spoken / written English.
- CCNA / Ekahau Certification or proven experience working with a wide range of Cisco wireless solutions.
- The ability to handle problems beyond your own area of expertise.
- Have sound knowledge of Cisco ISE and 802.1X wireless security protocols (EAP-TLS, EAP, PEAP etc)
- The ability to work independently and as a team player.
- The willingness to travel occasionally for site surveys, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Cisco WLC 5500, 9800 series, Cisco 3702, 3800 and 9100 series Access Points, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco DNA Centre and other wireless vendors (like Aruba / Juniper / Meraki).
