Recruits, trains, directs, motivates and evaluates the upstate region field sales staff. Coordinates the work of the sales and outreach staff along with other marketing functions for the upstate VNS Health Medicaid Advantage Plan (MAP) and Medicare Advantage (MA) products.
Works under general direction.
Compensation :
$85,000.00 - $106,300.00 Annual

What You Will Do
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily departmental activities and ensures adequate / appropriate staff coverage.
- Monitors monthly staff productivity to ensure that goals are being met.
- Provide field performance evaluations; documents evaluations using approved Ride-Along Form.
- Assists in developing short and long-range operational objectives consistent with VNS Health Plans goals.
- Develops, implements, and coordinates business processes and procedures that support upstate sales activities; evaluates workflow processes / policies for efficiency and effectiveness, and recommends changes as appropriate.
- Executes sales processes, policies and procedures to ensure successful execution and compliance with relevant DOH and CMS regulations.
- Develops effective working relationships with the leadership of key referral sources, such as community based organizations, the provider community, religious organizations, and other appropriate channels to grow new membership.
- Acts as the liaison between MAP / MA sales team and other VNS Health Plans strategic business and operational areas with direct impact on member growth and retention initiatives.
- Performs all duties inherent in a manager role. Ensures effective staff training, interviews candidates for employment, evaluates staff performance, and recommends hiring, promotions, salary actions and terminations, as appropriate.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications :
- New York State Health Insurance license required
- Valid driver's license or NYS Non-Driver photo ID card, may be required as determined by operational / regional needs.
Education :
Associate's Degree or the equivalent experience required
Work Experience :
- Minimum five years experience in marketing managed Medicare and / or Medicaid products required
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Existing relationships with key potential referrers, such as providers preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency using personal computers and basic software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and internet browsers required
- Bilingual proficiency preferred
