Interim Controller needed for an immediate contract assignment with a client located in the Harrisburg, PA area. The Interim Controller will be responsible for enhancing accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and financial controls.
This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the financial operations during the transitional period.
Interim Controller Responsibilities :
- Oversee and streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
- Lead and mentor accounting staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as directed by executive leadership.
Interim Controller Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, ideally in an interim capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
