The SVASC at Bridgewater State University is dedicated to reducing incidents of sexual assault and relationship violence on campus and within the community.
The SVAS Center, in compliance with best practices and recommendations of Massachusetts Department of Higher Education and the CDC, uses innovative approaches to educate and create awareness around topics of sexual assault, harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking.
To better serve, support, and ensure the safety of our BSU family, the center promotes the ideals of respect, community, responsibility, and nonviolence.
Job Description : The Sexual Violence Advocacy and Support Center is seeking assistance with conducting evidence-based research on the topics of sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, harassment and stalking prevention education and statistics.
The SVASC Research and Data Coordinator will compile and maintain the Center’s service and training data. Other responsibilities include supporting center staff in researching statistics, social norms, dating trends and other topics relating to sexual assault and dating violence and providing advocacy to survivors seeking support and resources from the SVAS Center.
Requirements : Candidates must have excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, and the ability to be a supportive and flexible team member.
Candidates must be dependable and punctual. Candidates must possess a strong passion for violence prevention work.
