Workspire is partnering with an exceptional manufacturing company in Fresno, CA that is growing and currently seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their leadership team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing strategic insights that drive business success. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys mentoring a team while contributing to the long-term growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
• Partner with external auditors and manage all audit-related activities
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Accounting functions
• Manage tax filings, including sales / use tax, property tax, and quarterly estimated payments
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Manage bank and investment account reconciliations
• Drive ERP system utilization and oversee monthly / annual ERP close activities
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and margin improvement
• Collaborate with senior leadership to continuously improve accounting processes and systems
• Administer company 401k plan and coordinate with outside providers
