Job Description :
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join their team located in Charleston, SC. In this role, you would be responsible for helping to develop and build cost structures for multiple products.
The company has been widely known as a leader in their industry for over 100 years and is headquartered in Charleston.
The position requires an individual with strong accounting and finance knowledge to derive standard costs for production.
You will work closely with the CFO, Senior Accountant, and site managers to analyze processes, labor, materials, and capital equipment costs in order to establish variable and fixed costs and pricing structures for future business growth.
You will also be responsible for routine audits, forecasting and budgeting, and process improvements.
Job Requirements :
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of experience specific to Cost Accounting.
Knowledge of SAP, Sage, Tableau or a similar ERP system and ability to recommend and learn knew technology. Fully versed in GAAP.
This position is located in Charleston, SC and does require the successful candidate to work on-site.
