Serenity for Life is a new women's residential program scheduled to open soon! It is a private pay, voluntary, 10-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado.
The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside.
We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma informed care.
We provide a safe, relaxing environment while offering residents the tools and support needed to manage their substance use and co-occurring disorders.
The single rooms with stream and mountain views from the balconies and private hot tubs offer a peaceful environment for residents to heal and grow.
The numerous outdoor adventures allow the residents to learn new activities, reduce stress, improve sleep, build self-confidence, and develop long-lasting friendships.

Position Summary :
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing 2+ nurses and / or qualified medication administration personnel (QMAPs) and the overall nursing operations of the facility.
This includes overseeing infection control, employee health, pharmacy, and laboratory services. The DON will also serve as Risk Manager.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conducts initial intake
- Serves as a member of Serenity for Life's leadership team and ensures effective integration of nursing services into the overall operations.
Provides input into administrative policies and procedures and develops sound nursing policies and procedures
- Monitors staffing needs and arranges coverage as needed. Sets nursing schedule
- Provides direct staff supervision including interviewing and selection, training and development, performance management, and employee relations
- Ensures supervisees' participation in all mandatory in-service training sessions and successful completion of all annual training requirements
- Implements and monitors the education and training requirements of the infection and communicable disease program, including the organization's exposure control plan
- Adheres to applicable policies and procedures, laws, standards, and regulations
- Demonstrates an understanding of FTE, overtime, and related staffing calculations and adheres to spending guidelines and overall budget
- Contributes to agency's performance improvement plan. Reviews incident reports and actions taken
- Ensures availability and accessibility to nursing and / or qualified medication administration personnel for consultation and guidance
- Communicates with client's referral sources and support systems in client's interests and complies with confidentiality and client's rights
- Ensures initial treatment plan is completed upon admission, evaluates and monitors client's progress
- Takes physician's orders and documents appropriately
- Administers medications per ordered note
- Maintains accountability of administration, recording, control, and security of medications
- Oversees and maintains the tracking of medical supplies and inventory.
- Collaborates with treatment team regarding client care
- Provides education to clients and team members regarding medication usage, side effects of medications, infectious diseases
- Supports the agency's strategic plan and complies with requests to speak publicly or make presentations regarding the agency's service
- Performs other duties as assigned / required
Qualifications and Preferences :
- RN license in the state of Colorado
- Clinical experience in residential substance abuse or mental health preferred
- Current basic life support for health provider (BLS) and CPR / First Aid and AED or prior to orientation
Pay :
$96,000.00 - $114,000.00 annual
