We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and creative individual to join our high-performing Process Development team.

This role will be focused on developing Nitinol forming processes for the WATCHMAN device and will have strong opportunity for future growth.

It will be a hands-on role for a high priority project early in development.

You will have the opportunity to drive innovative technology solutions from concept to commercialization. You will be partnering cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Directly support complex equipment in developing new processes for our next generation Watchman implant. Equipment will be connected to key Nitinol forming processes.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop capable processes and complex technologies on new products and ensure efficient and effective transfer of product into production.
  • As a key member of the New Product Development team, apply technical knowledge to innovate, design & develop processes, and advance emerging technology.
  • Collaborate & partner with R&D to develop product concepts, influence design specifications and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
  • Drive successful prototyping of various design configurations in a development pilot line environment.
  • Develop experimental strategy and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviews.
  • Solve complex technical problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work on product and process development to lead the design and commercialization of new medical devices.
  • Develop, write, & review process validation strategy and related deliverables to meet quality system requirements (e.g.

Experiment tech reports, GR&R, TMV, IQ, FMEA’s, etc.).

Partner with Operations to improve the reliability and robustness of commercial processes.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relevant technical field.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and influence in a technical environment.
  • Experience working with complex equipment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations.
  • Experience with Nitinol Manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Operations and / or New Product Development.
  • Experience working with Solidworks.
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
  • Understanding of equipment software logic and controls (Allen Bradley PLC’s a plus).
  • Understanding of vision systems and logic.
