Summary :
Oversee the hospital's safety and security operations. This includes planning for and coordinating all internal and external security requirements for the hospital;
monitoring HSH security operations; coordinating with other section / units at the hospital; and planning, organizing, directing, supervising and monitoring the Security Office's activities and services.
Role & Responsibilities :
- Creates security policies and procedures.
- Conducts regular security and safety inspections.
- Investigates safety and security threats and breaches.
- Writes comprehensive reports.
- Presents safety and security improvement plans to executives.
- Facilitates hospital safety and emergency response trainings.
- Recommends new safety and security technology.
- Maintains utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Ensures that the team follows hospital policies and procedures and security and privacy laws and standards.
Equipment to be used :
Computer and associated software such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other job-specific databases;
copier / fax / scanner / printer; security equipment; phones and other communication devices.
Minimum Requirements :
- Skills / Abilities : Effectively communicate and write accurate, comprehensive reports; use computers, various software and other office equipment.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience : At least two (2) years of security or law enforcement experience.
- Licenses / certification : Valid State of Hawaii Class 3 driver's license. Current CPR card.
