- A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced ER / Emergency Room RNs for a travel assignment.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC.
Job Requirements
- Must have 2 years of experience
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Active AZ license or compact
- Must have 1 year of trauma level 1 experience; will screen 8 months+
- Must have Cerner experience
- No first time travelers
- DAY 1 PASS FAIL EXAM : STUDY GUIDE PROVIDED WITH FDI
- PASS FAIL SIMs Lab : All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes
Schedule Information
- Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 1p-1a
- Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per month, at unit discretion
- 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
Unit Specific Information
Unit : ED / Trauma
beds : Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)
- Ratios : 1 : 4 ratio
- EMR : Cerner
- Charge Nurse : 2 Charge RNs - will task or have light patient load
- Nurse Aides : 4-PCTs for sitters
- Scrub Color : Navy
- Tele : Phillips monitors, must be able to read strips
- Vents : Managed by RT
- Hospitalist or Intensivists in house : Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized.
- IV Team : Core RNs are US trained
- RT 24 / 7 : Yes
- Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes, Pharmacist in ER 10hrs / day
- Floor specific orientation : 2-3 shifts on the floor
- Floating : Float within ER
