The Lead Financial Analyst will be required to manage the monthly close process for Westinghouse’s Staffing business, which includes the recommendation / preparation of journal entries, detailed P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, inter-company transaction monitoring and various other business closing tasks.
Monthly results will be summarized into an Operations Review slide deck, which will be shared with management. The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for accuracy of financial information, reporting, audits, business planning, external project accounting and set-up, among other tasks.
Working cross-functionally, in a team environment, is essential to the success of the person in this role.
Your Day to Day :
- Lead monthly financial close process for combine staffing business.
- Prepare for approval and monitor group's budget which will flow into the annual business plan, which also be developed by the Lead Financial Analyst.
- Prepare financial information to support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Prepare business unit Monthly Operations Report and variance analysis.
- Lead preparation responsibilities and review outside auditor schedules to support annual audit and special audit requirements.
- Direct & monitor external customer invoicing, along with accounts receivable.
- Develop cost improvement identification and tracking mechanisms.
- Continually monitor P&L and Balance Sheet to proactively identify issues and focus on cost control, highlighting any issues and submitting recommended improvement actions.
- Provide financial oversight, analysis, and support for bid and proposals. Assign preparation responsibilities and reviews, or perform research on project estimates to compare, make up ratios, and schedule performance.
- Prepare and / or assign preparation responsibilities for and deliver presentations to management or business unit financial analysis.
- Complete monthly expense audits and flag spending that is not inline with company policy. Review findings with management and identify where remediation actions need to be taken.
Who You Are :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Preferred (Accounting and / or Finance)
- 5+ Years of relevant or related experience
- SAP (FI / CO), Phoenix T&E, MS Office Suite
