Responsibilities : Position Summary :

Position Summary :

Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care.

Over seen by the assigned RN and / or Clinical Coordinator. Reports to the Manager of MedSurg and Administrative Director.

Required Qualifications :

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit.
• Knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
• CA Certified Nurse assistant., BLS / CPR certification.
• Non-violent crisis intervention / verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire.
• Formal nurse assistant course and / or one year nurse assistant experience preferred.
• HospitalMandatory Education Requirements : Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse / Neglect, and Ethics.

Tuberculosis Screening, Licensure renewal, BLS

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
