Work you'll do :

  • Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional requirements and assist in the design and development of integration flows using an array of different platforms, APIs, data warehouses, protocols and data formats.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources.
  • Create professional technical documentation and present for internal and external use.
  • Interface with various external / internal customers such as product managers and lead testers to gather and define functional specifications for software development.
  • May oversee the efforts of less junior staff and / or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications

Required :

  • MA / MS degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • 10+ years of experience with data engineering
  • Extensive database experience using Java, SQL, No-SQL, data lakes and warehouses, and pre-indexes for enterprise caching (like elastic search)

For individuals assigned and / or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

This compensation range is specific to Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,658 to $ 179,431.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
