Job Description : Your Piece of the Puzzle

NFM's Carrier Procurement Coordinator will incorporate company buying strategies to develop carrier sourcing processes that ensure smooth and reliable transportation at the lowest possible cost.

This position will initiate sourcing events (RFP / RFQ), conduct analysis, present results, negotiate contracts, and award carriers' business based on capacity commitments, reliable service, and cost.

Work to resolve issues, monitor carrier performance, contractual obligations and identify new partners to enhance NFM's carrier network.

This is a work from home position but does require occasional work onsite based on business needs.

Job Duties : A Day in the Life

• Oversee : Manage carrier pricing and contracts to meet budget obligations
• Organize : Manage / maintain processes for contracts / agreements
• Assess : Ensure all contracts / agreements follow legal and DOT requirements
• Collaborate : Assist in development / evolution / revolution of inbound domestic procurement processes and tools
• Report : Analyze carrier performance metrics and initiate scorecard reviews
• Prepare : Participate in strategic mapping and support goals and initiatives
• Take Part : Participate in department budgeting

Qualifications : Can You Check These Boxes?

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, finance or related field or equivalent experience
• 4 years of experience working with carrier contracts and negotiations
• 3 years in project management to include sourcing events and process improvement events
• Domestic and International carrier procurement experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications, TMS and Procurement software
• Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
• Valid driver's license and ongoing acceptable driving record
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, drug screen and criminal background check
