Please note that this role requires full-time, in-person presence at our Newport Beach, CA location. Remote work options are not available for this position.

Compensation : $22 - $27 hourly DOE

Responsibilities :

• Assist in handling estate planning, trust administration, probate, and conservatorship cases.
• Prepare necessary documents for court hearings, client files, initial drafts of pleadings, and other legal paperwork.
• Engage in regular communication with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, law firms, and relevant personnel.
• Manage filing of documents with the Court, serving documents by mail, and coordinating court appearances.
• Attend client meetings, including those related to Estate Planning signings.
• Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important milestones diligently.
• Record information accurately in the law firm’s practice management system.
• Provide support to the office by answering phones, assisting with special projects, and handling general administrative tasks when required.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a law firm.
• Paralegal Certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code 6450.
• Set priorities, manage your own workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
• Excellent communicator and organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Actionstep is a plus!)
• Reliable commute or will relocate prior to starting position.
