Job Description
Lab Sample Processor provide clients with outstanding service by performing timely and accurate sample processing. Lab Sample Processor are responsible for opening samples, comparing information, addressing concerns, solving problems, and entering client data correctly into the Laboratory Information System, to ensure that every case is successfully completed, and every client satisfied.
Lab Sample Processor must have excellent data entry skills, be detail oriented and organized. This role is multi-tasked and flexible and having the ability to prioritize work is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Coordinating and providing service that is timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
- Handling case assignments, review case progress and determine case closure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborate and work effectively with others
- Results driven - able to maintain and sustain company goals
- Intake of packages received daily
- Verifies package integrity and chain of custody requirements
- Identifies complete and partial cases
- Data Entry / Audit of all patient and contract information
- Prepare Affidavits
- Notarization (limited)
- Close and mailing of final reports, chain of custody and affidavits
- Input partial billing information
- Meet weekly required production numbers
- Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned or become evident
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year previous data entry service preferred
- High School diploma / GED required; Biology and / or Life Science studies experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Strong listening skills and patience to handle novel situations
- Excellent data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is a plus
- Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and typing skills
- Good problem-solving skills and follow through are required
- Strong planning, organizational, time, and project management skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- Knowledge of good record keeping requirements is a plus
- Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision; must also be able to work as part of a team.
- Proven ability to interact with all organizational levels is essential
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible to changing priorities
- Ability to demonstrate and uphold the highest levels of ethical behavior and confidentiality
