This is a hybrid role based out of our Boston office. (Mon-Thurs on-site, Friday remote)

Wayfair Professional serves Wayfair’s business customers. Our business customers span many industries, including Office, Hospitality, Education, Interior Design, Food Service, Contractor and Property Management sectors, with a broad assortment across furniture, fixtures and decor.

The B2B Pricing and Profit Management team plays a key role in advancing Wayfair Professional’s growth strategy by driving initiatives across three core pillars (pricing, exposure & supplier incentives, and P&L management) each focused on differentiating aspects of B2B.

We leverage big data, competitive benchmarking and a continuous flow of experimentation to guide our pricing, discounting and exposure strategies.

We manage the delicate tradeoff between short and long term profitability, while working cross-functionally to affect product selection, merchandising, operations, and marketing initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a senior analyst on the B2B Profit Management team you will be in a fast-paced role that combines data analysis and strategic decision-making skills, sitting at the center of the pricing organization helping us answer the most important questions about one of Wayfair’s biggest areas of growth.

You’ll use your analytical and problem solving skills to find new ways to improve and grow our business. Your work will be highly visible and cross-functional;

regularly engaging directly with senior leaders across the business. We value innovation and creativity, and we’re looking for someone who is excited about tackling complex business problems and making a meaningful impact.

Examples of our work includes :

Serve as an expert on overall profit performance and strategy for B2B, and be the point person for topics related to profit and revenue management (MAP Breaks, pricing strategies, bulk discounting)

Partnering cross-functionally on development of Sales force incentive structures to optimize for customer outcomes & long-term profit

Development of pricing strategy / framework for our highest potential customers

Conduct root cause analyses and leverage cross-functional partnerships to quickly identify performance issues and recommended actions that the organization can execute against.

Analyze business trends, refine how the company sets its pricing and discount strategies, and evaluate new and emerging opportunities to optimize profit and revenue, working with relevant tech teams

What You’ll Need :

2+ years of professional experience working as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a relevant quantitative field

Experience with Microsoft Office and / or G Suite

Proficient with SQL / GBQ, & Excel / Google Sheets

Familiarity with a structured programming language (e.g., SQL, R, Python) preferred

The ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy using data

Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior level and cross-functional stakeholders

An ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a get stuff done attitude

A desire to win as a team - collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others succeed and thrive
